Got the fastpitch 1st base glove for my daughter and even before it was broken in, she said the ball hurt her hand coming in. That shouldn't happen with a 1st base glove when it is new. I checked and there is very minimal padding compared to other gloves. And yes, she is a pretty high level, 14 year old, AAU player who knows how to catch a ball in the right spot. t much padding compared to other 1st base gloves. Again, good starter glove for the price, but not near the level of the higher end gloves. If you want a glove to last through high school, go with a better model.
