eview-text-content"> If you play slow pitch softball and you're an outfielder or you prefer a larger glove for the infield look no further. The leather on this mitt is excellent. I like the way I can easily on-the-fly adjust the tightness. It has a deep pocket and nice webbing for snow cone catches. Go to Youtube and do a search on "Aso break in method". It is the BEST way to quickly and confidently break in a glove. Here are the steps to break in on any glove including this one.1: Heat up a tall glass of hot water in the microwave (1 minute to 1.5 minutes in the microwave). Do NOT boil the water. You want it at around 150 degrees.2: Pour the hot water all over the glove but don't get it inside the finger holes.3: Beat the glove with a glove mallet or 5 lb dumbell (I use a dumbell since I don't have a mallet it works great).4: Make sure to beat the glove everywhere inside and out. Take the mallet or dumbell and pound the palm pocket creating a deep pocket for the softball .5: Spread the top of fingers apart making to loosen the top strings which are typically stiff out of the box.6: Really work the strings at the top of the webbing and bottom palm heal. This is where the glove is most stiff.7: Put a softball in the palm/pocket area and close the glove. Let it set overnight to dry.8: The next day pound the glove again with a glove mallet or 5 lb dumbell and then use Wilson Glove Conditioner (I NEVER use oil) and rub it into every nook and cranny of the glove and glove strings (do NOT use conditioner or anything else inside the finger holes) . Really rub it in and work the strings to loosen. Really work the top of the webbing and the palm heal strings.9: Place a ball in the glove and wrap it or tie it up to the way you want to shape the glove. At this point I like to place the glove in the hot sun for several hours. Don't worry if its not sunny. Just leave the glove wrapped inside for a day.10: Its ready for use. You may want to rub in conditioner again to loosen it further. One person found this helpful Helpful
