eview-text-content"> I was super excited for the debut of the Magnolia as it just *looks* cooler than the average fastpitch glove. But over the course of owning this glove for 6 months during a closed season due to the pandemic, the glove has proven quite difficult to break in. Closing the glove takes a lot of effort, even after hours of mallet work, conditioners, etc. The leather is high quality but the glove just wants to snap back open. Maybe it's due to the Shift design, where the index finger is sealed off and the rest of the fingers are placed in the middle/ring/pinky stalls. In theory this should provide more leverage but in practice it feels like less leverage. The lack of a pinky loop does not help. The thumb loop has a stitching seam right at the pad of the thumb that can create irritation.I wanted to love this glove due to the innovation, but in the end I wish I had gone with a more traditional design.
