My kids have had several DeMarini bats, the company make great bats in general. But this bat is heavy, upon receiving it, I immediately weighed it and it was 19oz (29" bat). When I asked customer service about this, within hours they sent a detailed explanation that the weight of the bat is based on the swing weight or centripetal force and the actual scale weight is a "bit irrelevant." So I unwrapped it and my 8yo son tried it out. But he didn't like it and said it felt "heavy". Despite my telling him the weight was a "bit irrelevant" his little arms felt like it was heavy. We tried to get used to it, but he always chose the teams bat when batting in games because it was actually 17oz.After a month or so, when I followed up with DeMarini, they said initially I couldn't get a refund because we had tried it out. After some persistence I sent it back under warranty. They apparently didn't even inspect it, they just sent me a replacement. The replacement is 18 7/8 oz. Awesome! I guess I should be happy that it is lighter...I just don't understand why a company like this mislabels a bat, and won't truly stand by their product. P.when('review-image-binder', 'reviewsLightbox-js').execute(function(reviewImageBinder) { reviewImageBinder.bindReview("R1N4THEDFMS92M", "R1N4THEDFMS92M_imageSection_main", "R1N4THEDFMS92M_gallerySection_main"); });

Much heavier than advertised Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2018Size: 28"/16 oz This 28-inch bat weighs 18.6 oz, much heavier than advertised. It's a drop 10, not a drop 12.Having said that, my son does like the bat and it seems to have a good sweet spot. He says it feels lighter than his other bats and that probably has something to do with the weight distribution being more balanced in the handle, and not so heavy in the barrel.

Pretty Good Bat Reviewed in the United States on ApSize: 27"/15 oz My son has used the bat at a lot of batting practices and 3 games. At first I thought I wasted my money because my son could not get the ball out of the infield during batting practice and games. He was a pretty good hitter last season hitting off the pitching machine. He was using the Rawlings Quatro t-ball bat off the machine. He would hit it to the outfield all the time.In the third game of the season, he blasted a hit all the way to the outfield and the ball ended up near the 200 ft fence. It was an in the park home run. The bat does reduce bat sting, but not totally. My son still gets some bat sting off mishits. The only knock is the small barrel, but my son and some of the other players on the team have found the ball using this bat.

Do not buy this bat Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2019Size: 29"/17 oz Had the bat for roughly 2 months and it snapped in half! I cant get a refund from Wilson which owns DeMarini because I purchased this bat from amazon and not directly from them.

Sweet Spot Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2018Size: 28"/16 oz Good Bat I ordered the 28 -12 for my seven year old and it seems to have good pop and large sweet spot. He has hit off the end of the bat several times and there has been no hand stingers and the ball still travels well. This demarini bat is better than the Louisville Solo 619

Nice bat Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2018Size: 27"/15 oz This is a nice bat. Its the lightest USA bat you will find. My son is 6 years old, 4 tall and 50lbs. (Yall and skinny) I got the 27/15 and it seems about right for him. The ball comes off the bat pretty good. I can tell a difference between this one and the 2018 bats.

Weight was not close to listed Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2019Size: 27"/15 oz This bat looks nice and my 6-year old liked the grip/handle. I don't doubt that it can really strike a baseball well. However, the 27" bat weighed in at a whopping 18.6 oz. For some of these little guys, that is a huge difference from the listed weight.

Metal flew off Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2019Size: 28"/16 oz My son has only used this bat for less than 5 months, during a two week summer camp and a few week of practices, before we heard a clinging noise inside the barrel after one batting practice. The next time the barrel flew off! We were only 3 games into the fall season!

Great but failed in a game Reviewed in the United States on JSize: 28"/16 oz Great bat. Son loves it but like other reviewers the bat came apart on a swing in a game. P.when('review-image-binder', 'reviewsLightbox-js').execute(function(reviewImageBinder) { reviewImageBinder.bindReview("R1ZYF0NA7QGY6M", "R1ZYF0NA7QGY6M_imageSection_main", "R1ZYF0NA7QGY6M_gallerySection_main"); });

Handle popped off Reviewed in the United States on JSize: 28"/16 oz Great bat until the handle broke off, warranty is void because they don't cover bats purchased on amazon.com would not suggest it unless you would like to throw $200 down the drain
