We just got the bat today and it was delivered earlier than expected and my son used it in his game and WOW! The drop -11 made his swing just a hair faster but no lack of power. All of the 2018 bats weve used this season have been heavier than advertised and a struggle for the smaller kids to make contact with. Today it was a different story. Everyone who used it liked the feel and was able to connect. So far no complaints about bat sting either.I just wish they made a 26 drop -11 for the tinier kids on the team. This is a QUALITY bat for the price!Note- we have used the Louisville Omaha 27/17 (still a great bat), Rawlings Quattro 28/18, Easton Ghost X 28/18 & Plenty more. So far this one is light years above! 4

22 comments Report abuse Comment Great Bat! Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2018Size: 27 inch/16 oz I purchased the 27" 16 ounce bat for my 7 years old son who is playing 8U kid pitch travel for the summer. Although it weighed in at 17.6 ounces, he has had consistent contact, it has good pop, and is the appropriate length. Our previous bat was a 26" and 15 ounces t ball bat. So by purchasing the 5150 we increased the length by 1 inch and weight by 2.6 ounces. He seems comfortable, no bat drag. For comparison, we also purchased the 2018 Solo 618, 28" 17 ounce, which is also a great bat that weighed in at 17.6 ounces, the same weight as the 5150, but 1 inch longer. My son liked swinging both bats equally, but it appeared the 27" length of the 5150, which is 1 inch shorter than the Solo, made him control the bat better as I saw more consistent contact. 2

Great Bat! Got this to replace our Easton S650 Reviewed in the United States on MaSize: 27 inch/16 oz Exactly what it was supposed to be. Great bat. I went with this bat since our Easton S650 cap came off and when I reached out to Easton corporate they were not helpful and would not refund or exchange for another bat without a receipt. I bought the Easton bat right after they made us switch to the USA bat. I had the Easton S650 for less than a month and the cap popped out. Absolutely, no abuse and no reason for the cap to pop out. My kids barely hit any balls with it since it was the beginning of baseball season, they just didn't have it long enough to use it much... Of course, I did not have the receipt, so I was out of luck according to the Easton customer representative. The bat was supposed to have a 1 year warranty. I realize that I didn't have the receipt, but at the time the "USA Baseball standard" version of this bat had not been on the market for 1 year. The USA Baseball standard just started, so why wouldn't the 1 year warranty by itself work? I tried to explain this to Easton, but they didn't care. No more Easton bats in our house!! Its a shame, I grew up playing with Easton bats, but my kids will be using other brands.

Great bat and value Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2018Size: 27 inch/16 oz I have 2 sons, 8 and 10 years old that have both been hitting a 28 -10 Easton Ghost. My younger son wanted to try a smaller lighter bat to generate more bat speed. We got the 5150 in a 27 -11 and I cant believe how well he hits. The younger brother hits with more power using a bat 1/3 the price. I was concerned the barrel would too small. Being so light it flares right at the end but that has not been an issue at all. Great bat and value!

Great bat for the price! Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2019Size: 27 inch/16 oz When our son moved into little league at 7, we struggled to find a 27" bat for him that wasn't made for t-ball. We ended up buying him a 28" bat that was too big for him, but he seemed to do fine in a rec league. When he started playing club ball and was using it more, it became painfully clear that it was too long and too heavy for him.We grabbed this bat before our latest tournament and it was a night and day difference. We weren't willing to pay a huge amount, because we figure he'll only use this bat for a year max before he's ready to transition back to his 28", but this bat absolutely changed his swing, stance, and confidence 100%. It's well made, well balanced, and the 27" is perfect for the smaller or younger players who need a "real bat" but aren't ready for the 28" size. There aren't as many options in 27", but this is a good one. I'm a big believer that a $300 bat can't fix a $10 swing... but I also believe that the right length/weight can make a huge difference in how a kid bats!

Great bat, please continue the performance. Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2019Size: 27 inch/16 oz Ok this bat was a great buy, I bought the 27 for my son playing in the 9/10 league, which has been good. I think he should be on a 28 maybe 29, but this is helping stay in and closer to the plate. For the performance: I have yet to see another bat that has the pop that this one does, a lot of other kids are now using his bat. You can also hear the pop, which is solid.

Great Bat Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2020Size: 27 inch/16 oz I purchased this for my son while he was playing coach pitch (7 and 8-year-olds); the drop -11 version. He really loved this bat. At 2 5/8 barrel he felt confident that he would make contact with any pitch; it's coach pitch so that happened every at bat. The grip is really tacky and the bat makes a strong "ping" sound on contact. He never complained about sting in his hands, but the pitch speed probably wasn't above 25mph.It did dent towards the end of the season, so the durability is relatively low. Thankfully, there is a one-year warranty. Unfortunately, Rawlings wasn't very easy to deal with. They more or less accused me of breaking the bat on purpose. They did ultimately send me a replacement and we didn't have anymore issues after that with the bat.Overall, this is a really solid bat at an affordable price - less than $100.

. If your child has problems due to bat speed because of new USA bats this is the bat you need. My son is 7 and loves this bat and is back to swinging hard with no complaints of it being to heavy or sting when he gets ahold of one!

Parents leave your ego at home get this light bat it's awesome! Reviewed in the United States on Size: 27 inch/16 oz Great bat! I coach my son's 6/7 year old baseball team and at this age it should be all about making contact and improving their confidence not getting your kid the heaviest bat cause their SO STRONG. This bat is light which helps them get their hands through the swing much faster and with better form than with a heavier bat. Half the team uses it.
