I'm a collegiate softball catcher and I had to part ways with my Louisville Sting Reduction Glove as it ripped throughout the palm. While searching for a replacement, I found this glove and decided to give it a shot! Good news: they'll ship it faster than you can realize you accidentally shipped it home instead of to your school! (Lol, whoops!)The glove was definitely thicker than expected due to its paddingthe orange part depicted at the low end of the palm is actually a visual of the padding. It won't block out the sting of catching a ball with your palm, for those times that it does happen, but it will help with sting on the fingers and top part of the palm. My primary issue with my catcher's mitt is the sting on my index finger but this glove is perfect at reducing that pain.My only con is that it is large and semi-rigid at first but sweating helps it form to your hand. Also, it stretched out my glove but that's not an issue for me because I no longer catch without the protective glove anyway. Over 50+ hours of usage now and it's holding up perfectly fine.Definitely recommend for any catcher of all ages, just needs some getting used to.

Builds Confidence Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2019 Id highly recommend this especially if your glove hand is susceptible to chronic pain in certain areas due to hard impacts from throws or line drives. It even guards the heal of your hand from those short bad hops that hit you just below the wrist. With this glove and some wrist guards its one less worry and your confidence in staying down on ground balls will increase thereby increasing your consistency in making the play.

Padding is good but don't expect miracles Reviewed in the United States on Size: LargeHand Orientation: Left Hand Adult intramural baseball - catcher - Tried a few gloves and this one stands above the rest. A little stiff at first so first impression was not positive but wouldn't catch without it now. Padding is good but don't expect miracles. 1st year back to baseball in 20 years and just took some time to adjust catching the ball in the right spot but the occasional hit it the palm this knocks the edge off the pain.Starting to rip along wrist after 2-3 of months of use (once or twice a week use) but still slips great and does its job. Then again a thicker material would be too hot. Darn if you do darned if you don't.

Meh Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2017 It's not a miracle worker. The pads in the glove are hard and not all that thick. Feels like you're covering your hand with pieces of cardboard.Particularly if it's cold, and you catch it in the wrong place, it's still gonna sting. Hurts maybe about 25% less.

After adapting to feel, good addition Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2019 Takes s little work to get used to fit in catchers mitt, but wears in nicely and provides noticeable reduction in sting on hits just outside pocket. Would prefer less garish color combos, but not a problem since glove is concealed in mitt anyway. Holding up to sweaty hands well so far

Okay for the price Reviewed in the United States on Janu It served it's purpose to an extent. The padding feels more like cardboard - very stiff and initially made me feel like I wasn't going to be able to close the glove around the ball. Helped to pad about as much as a thick batting glove. After a few months, stitching became loose and the material on the back of the hand began to break down.I'd consider buying it again for no more than $10 or 15 with the understanding it would last about 9 months.

Does it's job! Reviewed in the United States on JSize: LargeHand Orientation: Left Hand 13 year old son is a catcher and after 2 broken thumbs, we invested in this beauty and he loves it.

Amazing product for catchers playing a lot of innings. Reviewed in the United States on Ap We bought one of these and it was so popular that it disappeared within a week. So I bought two more and put our names on them, and my son absolutely loves it. Hes been able to play all the games requested without the bruising he was experiencing before. Great product
