Great use of the horween tan and black horween trim to give a deeper and richer appearance. Deer Tanned cowhide lining and hand sewn welt for comfort. 12 Inch Rawlings Thumb Embroidery 1000 Pattern Black Deer Tanned Cowhide Lining Horween Tan Shell Horween Black Trim Black Stitch Black Embroidery Black Hand Sewn Welt Black Stamp Thermoform Wrist Lining Desgined by: @horweenking Questions for James: Q. Why did you choose this baseball glove and design? A. I've always been a fan of the Pro1000H pattern. This glove is a combination of the classic tan horween, and the Ken Caminiti Black HCB version, blended together to highlight the best aspects of both styles, with a modern twist of HSW for added comfort. The black hand stall hides wear and sweat stains, while the shell and palm are left tan so the glove can develop the horween patina we all love. Q. How long have you been in interested in baseball and baseball gloves and back story of why? A. The 98' baseball season and homerun chase really peaked my interest in baseball. I started, as many do, with a card collection, which then expanded to balls, bats, memorabilia, and of course - gloves. Over the years I have continued growing my collection and learning more about baseball history. Q. First baseball glove or glove memory? A. My first baseball glove was a 12" Nokona kangaroo leather glove. I got when I was around 11 years old. Knowing nothing about gloves I still always appreciated the look of a classic glove like what was used in the 80s. This was the closest I could get to that, while restricted to ordering through Sports Illustrated magazines. Q. Favorite glove in collection that would never trade? A. My favorite glove is a 87' pro5x-sc. This glove is my favorite not only because of the year and model, but also because of where I got it. It was purchased from former utility infielder Ted Kubiak, who said it was used by one of his players when he coached in the minors. Q. Any memory of buying from Ballgloves.com / Don Morton Sports in the past or favorite DMS model? A. DMS has always been a go-to site for collectors. I remember purchasing a Lousiville Slugger C55 12" H web Pro Flare many years ago. This was my first official purchase as a "Collector" and my first horween glove. Q. I like how the deer skin lining makes the glove really comfortable. Noticed the tan horween looks darker with the black laces and trim? The Rawlings embroidery on thumb is great. A. Yes, I was hoping the tan would play off the black so it would look deeper & richer, thats great! Always was a fan of the Rawlings embroidery.

Why did you choose this baseball glove and design? A. I'm a fan of the classic colorways and black Horween leather with traditional red labels is timeless. Q. How long have you been in interested in baseball and baseball gloves and back story of why? A. I've been a lifelong fan of the game. Growing up, I never played at a high level or had any special gloves. I really got in to glove collecting when my son started playing baseball. Q. Favorite glove in collection that would never trade? A. A couple of favorites are my Rawlings Pro Label 3 and Horween Arenado model. I guess this 205 pattern with Horween leather is a great mix of those two beauties. Q. Any memory of buying from Ballgloves.com / Don Morton Sports in the past or favorite DMS model? A. Too many great DMS models to list, but I'd put their continued releases of PRO1000 models at the top.

You don't see the Rawlings oval R moved to the wrist and no Rawlings patch very often. Maybe one or two Pro players have had their Rawlings glove designed like this. 11.5 Inch 200 Pattern Slimmed RV Single Post Web Horween Tan Shell Horween Tan Lining Red Stitch Red Ebroidery Split Grey Welting Padded thumb Designed by @picklethebeast417 Questions for Jay: Q. Why did you choose this baseball glove and design? A. One of the asks coming out of the success of the T1D v2 @405baseball and I designed a few years ago was to do an all tan version. Since I helped create the slimmed hinged single post web with Rawlings glove engineers, any opportunity to use it is a good one! I think this glove is a perfect Horween gamer with a unique look that is sure to turn heads. Q. How long have you been in interested in baseball and baseball gloves and back story of why? A. Since I was old enough to play the game, I've always been interested in baseball gloves. As a kid, our family couldn't afford much in terms of equipment, and my twin brother and I would instead study gear by collecting baseball cards. I always vowed that when I got older, I would devote part of my time (turns out, a LOT of my time) to gathering as much substantive knowledge and expertise on gloves as possible and pass on what I learned to others. I am so thankful for the opportunities that social media has given me to connect with so many like-minded glove lovers over the past few years, it has really been one of the best experiences of my life. Q. First baseball glove or glove memory? A. The first baseball glove I remember from my childhood was a Rawlings 11" black basket web, an RGB90B, signed by everyone's favorite player, Ken Griffey, Jr. It was purchased from a warehouse store in the 80s, and although my brother won the coin flip for it since could only afford one at the time, my parents were able to acquire one for me later that I cherished for many years. Q. Favorite glove in collection that would never trade? A. I have a test model for a special charity glove I had made a few years ago constructed partially of real denim and handmade in St. Louis. The actual model raised $2,620 for the Sam Fuld T1D Sports Camp, and the test model will stay with me forever. Q. Any memory of buying from Ballgloves.com / Don Morton Sports in the past or favorite DMS model? A. Although there have been many, my absolute favorite DMS model was an 11.5" PRO200-6 from 2013. @glovepatrol photo and description Rawlings hohpro204-rv11.5" hinged single-post webdon morton sports exclusivesteerhide (horween)EOLL29 (jul 2022)sometimes i don't have much to say about a glove . . not a bad thing, it's just that i've probably covered what i have to say in another post. sometimes i can't help but shut up about a glove and it becomes a catalyst for a bunch of other thoughts. glove fission. this pro204-rv lands in the latter category. a provocative offering, a lot to think and say about it right out of the box.i'll start with looks. this batch of horween tan turned out particularly rich & deep in tone. when viewed in profile, the glove appears brand-anonymous and shows off that single cut of horween from thumb to middle finger. the hinged single-post web? yeah, you already know. the red oval logo on the wrist is just so out-of-the-ordinary cool. i think that's the head turner here. the red stitching rounds everything out.the stiffness . . everything is dry and rigid. love it.i had to tighten the wrist a notch and in doing so i realized a couple of things. one, i need to buy a proper lacing needle. but i also discovered something else with the wrist left untied . . i can easily close this still-stiff glove as though it were broken in, with the natural hinge-points, and casually work the palm closure without forcing anything. i'm going to try doing this on new gloves from now on.i've become a fan of using shell leather for the palm liner. i like the grip on the hand, the toothy grain. i'll sometimes spring for the feel of the deer-tanned liner but i think i prefer the stability of the former.what a beautiful glove. props to @ball__gloves and @picklethebeast417 for delivering once again. if i had to sum up this rambling post, i would invite this glove to a party and it would no doubt be the center of attention.

The Rawlings 442 pattern baseball glove is a non-traditional outfield pattern that has gained popularity, particularly due to its association with MLB player Cody Bellinger. Bellinger has been using the PRO442 pattern glove since 2019, and it has become an iconic part of his playing style. Crafted from ultra-premium steer-hide leather, the Heart of the Hide outfield glove offers unmatched quality and feel. The 12.75-inch 442 pattern is specifically designed to help players like Bellinger make even the most difficult plays look routine in the outfield. The wide pocket provided by this unique pattern allows for exceptional ball control and ensures that the glove closes flat, increasing the chances of successful catches. One notable feature of the 442 pattern is its slightly shallower pocket depth compared to the popular Rawlings 303-pattern. This feature gives outfielders like Bellinger a heightened sense of each ball they encounter, enabling them to react swiftly and make accurate throws. The glove's design is optimized for tracking down fly balls with confidence, allowing players to cover more ground and secure outs effectively. By choosing the Rawlings 442 pattern glove as your next gamer, you'll be joining an exclusive group of players who value exceptional performance and reliability. Known as "The Finest in the Field," these gloves are trusted by professional athletes and amateur players alike. Whether you're making the toughest plays or confidently tracking down fly balls, the Rawlings 442 pattern glove will help elevate your game and establish you as a force to be reckoned with on the field. Classic looking Rawlings outfield 442 model in this Horween winter 2022 collection. Why did you choose this baseball glove and design? A. I felt that making the PRO442 a little more common would provide an opportunity for outfielders to have a few more choices, especially if you have a smaller hand or don't require a glove as deep as a 303. Previous 442 models have been sneaky favorites of players and glove collectors, so bringing a Horween version of this pattern may be popular in a lot of ways. Q. How long have you been in interested in baseball and baseball gloves and back story of why? A. Since I was old enough to play the game, I've always been interested in baseball gloves.
