Rawlings Gold Glove Club July Ronald Acuña Jr 2023 Heart of Hide 12.75 Baseball Glove Right Hand Throw
The Rawlings Heart of the Hide July 2023 Gold Glove Club glove of the month is a highly coveted baseball glove that combines exceptional quality and craftsmanship with a unique design. This particular edition, known as the PRORA13S Baseball Glove, features the RA13 pattern, which is favored by the talented outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. This model is intended for Outfield use. With a length of 12 ¾ inches, it is specifically designed to meet the needs of outfielders. The larger size provides a larger catching surface, allowing outfielders to make spectacular catches and cover more ground in the field. The PRORA13S Scarlet Baseball Glove is constructed using Rawlings' renowned Heart of the Hide leather, known for its durability, flexibility, and excellent performance. This high-quality leather ensures that the glove maintains its shape and withstands the rigors of the game, even after extensive use. The glove also incorporates Rawlings' Pro H™ web, which plays a crucial role in enhancing stability and glove control. The Pro H™ web design creates a deep pocket that helps secure the ball upon impact, preventing it from popping out and ensuring a secure catch. This feature is particularly beneficial for outfielders who frequently encounter high-velocity line drives and fly balls.   Ronald Acuña Jr. is a professional baseball player who made his mark in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the Atlanta Braves. Born on December 18, 1997, in La Guaira, Venezuela, Acuña quickly rose through the ranks of the Braves' minor league system, showcasing his exceptional talent and earning a spot on the team's major league roster. Acuña's journey to the majors began when he signed with the Atlanta Braves as an international free agent in 2014. He swiftly climbed through the minor leagues, displaying his incredible skills as an outfielder and a versatile hitter. His rapid progression through the minors generated a significant buzz, and fans eagerly anticipated his arrival in the big leagues. In April 2018, Acuña's dream came true as he made his MLB debut with the Atlanta Braves. From the moment he stepped onto the field, it was evident that he possessed an exceptional blend of athleticism, speed, and power. Acuña's electrifying presence injected new energy into the Braves' lineup and instantly made him a fan favorite. During his rookie season, Acuña showcased his incredible talent and versatility. He became the youngest player in MLB history to hit a grand slam in the postseason, and he finished the year with a .293 batting average, 26 home runs, and 64 RBIs. These impressive numbers earned him the National League Rookie of the Year award. Acuña's stellar performance continued in subsequent seasons, solidifying his reputation as one of the most exciting young players in the game. In 2019, he became a member of the 30-30 club (30 home runs and 30 stolen bases) and received his first All-Star Game selection. He also helped lead the Braves to the playoffs, contributing with his outstanding offensive production and defensive skills. The following season, Acuña played a crucial role in the Braves' success as they won the National League East division. He finished the shortened 2020 season with a .250 batting average, 14 home runs, and 29 RBIs in just 46 games. Despite a wrist injury that prematurely ended his season, Acuña's impact was undeniable. Unfortunately, in July 2021, Acuña suffered a season-ending ACL tear, which was a significant setback for both him and the Braves. However, his determination and work ethic fueled his recovery process, and he made a successful return to the field in 2022. Acuña's return to the Braves' lineup in 2022 brought a renewed sense of excitement and optimism to the team and its fans. He picked up right where he left off, displaying his exceptional skills as an offensive powerhouse and a dynamic presence in the outfield. Acuña's contributions helped lead the Braves to the postseason, where they eventually won the World Series, securing their first championship in over two decades. Off the field, Acuña is known for his infectious enthusiasm and love for the game. His electrifying style of play and his ability to impact the game in multiple ways have made him a superstar in the making. As he continues to develop and mature as a player, the sky is the limit for Ronald Acuña Jr. He has already established himself as one of the brightest young stars in baseball, and his future in the sport looks incredibly promising.     $299.95
